Our personal highlight and joy this January was introducing Rolland and
Heidi Baker of Iris Ministries to our beloved Gypsies in Bulgaria for
the first time.
It was the coldest winter in 100 years and our building did not have any heat. We had to keep dancing to keep warm!Amazingly, the Gypsies came in droves in spite of the cold; they were so hungry for more of God. Instant healings were popping like pop corn, and the Bakers left behind a rich deposit for healing in the revival soil there. Our memories of the precious people keep coming back to us, visiting our hearts with waves of joy and satisfaction. One of our favorite moments took place during the first night when a mother brought her nearly blind son to Heidi. As Heidi held him in her arms for quite awhile, all of a sudden he began to cry. We then realized, he could see! For the first time in his life he could see everything in clear wonderful detail instead of the fuzzy grey shadows he was accustomed to. Heidi, the boy and his mother hugged tightly and wept thankful tears, praising Jesus for what He had just done. Rolland and Heidi were perfectly at home among the Gypsies, as their hearts are filled with love and compassion for the poorest of the poor. It was an honor to have them with us!
